Why a Performance Artist in Your Restaurant?

So let's suppose you are a restaurant owner/general manager. You have a little budget to spend, and a warm-hearted desire to give something back to your patrons. What do you do? Hire a band, or musicians? Some silly person to interact with, and possibly frighten guests who are children? How about a juggler--he's so great, unless he misses! Give free balloons? Sing "Happy Birthday" for those guests, but somehow do it differently from your competition?
What you need is a performer who takes care of guests in a special, unique way, but doesn't bother guests who aren't interested in his artistry. Someone you could call upon to visit a table of disgruntled diners while you deal with correcting the cause of their disgruntlement. Someone who can take care of the birthday guests, the anniversary guests, and the rest of the guests in differing, unique ways--whether kids or adults. Someone who gets along well with (and stays out of the way of) wait staff.
If you have a seasoned, magical performer, he is self-contained, he likely isn't utilizing any of your electricity or other utilities. He isn't taking up a bunch of room in between table aisles. He is good at interacting with and reading people. No one will ever tell you that he just wouldn't leave us alone that they couldn't get rid of him. Tables are laughing, people are talking about how amazing your restaurant is!
In today's market, people are addicted to, and obsessed with being entertained. Give them something that will help them! Recent studies* have shown that experiencing mystery and intrigue are good for the brain--much better than a family sitting down to stare at their phones while they wait. You'll be helping society itself!
